Subin Kim

She gives worn silk garments a second life by using it as a canvas for her paintings. Her work is improvised: it is determined by spontaneity and inspired by her observations and experiences of everyday life. Subin’s affinity towards textiles and clothes might stem from her background in fashion design and the philosophy of upcycling, all owing to her wish for a more thoughtful world. In the end, however, everything is a matter of intuition.
